A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you press play.

Which Macs can run Life EQ?

The current build requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14.2 or later. It processes stereo sound through your Mac’s current default output, including speakers and stereo headphones.

Does it work with every app?

Life EQ processes captured system audio. Protected or exclusive-mode audio may not be available to macOS capture. Separate app-specific output routes and multichannel or surround playback are not preserved.

Do I need a measurement microphone?

You do not need a microphone to use EQ. For the analyzer and Auto Match, you can use the built-in microphone or a connected input. A measurement microphone is preferable; microphone coloration affects results, and this build does not load calibration files.

Can Auto Match fix my room?

Auto Match measures pink noise and fits corrective EQ toward your selected target over 80 Hz–10 kHz. It can reduce response peaks at the listening position, but deep cancellations still need attention to speaker placement or acoustic treatment. It applies one shared stereo EQ and does not correct phase or timing. The improvement shown by the app is predicted from the measurement, not independently verified acoustic correction.

Is there a subscription?

Commercial pricing and licensing have not been announced. This preview page does not offer a purchase or create a subscription.

How do I return to my normal sound?

Choose Stop processing to bypass all audio processing. Quit or close the app to stop all processing, noise and microphone capture. Processing always starts stopped when you open Life EQ.
